FoodFund International
FoodFund International manages award winning restaurants, such as The Meat & Wine Co. and Ribs and Rumps. Their international headquarters in North Ryde oversee the operation of all their restaurants around the globe. FoodFund sought a reliable partner who could provide a high level of support and ensure the most efficient and secure operation of their head office.

Falco provides the following for FoodFund International:

• Support and maintenance of their Microsoft Small Business Server 2003
• The ability to remotely access computers at all their restaurants nation-wide, to obtain data such as sales reports and inventory

The Meat & Wine Co and Ribs and Rumps

The Meat & Wine Co and Ribs and Rumps restaurants can be found at prime locations throughout Sydney. Behind the scenes of each busy restaurant is an operations office which is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the entire restaurant. Falco support and maintain the workstations and local networks of each office, maintaining the integrity and security of the restaurant’s important data such as sales, inventory, and rosters. The Meat & Wine Co and Ribs and Rumps restaurants are managed by FoodFund International, their head office in North Ryde also entrust their IT infrastructure to Falco.

In particular, Falco setup North Ryde restaurant's "Wireless Hotspot" which is designed to cater for many of their patrons that come from surrounding business parks. The Wireless Hotspot allows patrons to securely use a free wireless internet service, without compromising the restaurant's POS systems.

Rittco Distributing

Rittco Distributing supplies automotive and hardware accessories to the retail and wholesale markets. Many of their products can be found at major retailers such as Bunnings, Supa Cheap Auto and Repco.

Remote Email Solutions
Director of Rittco, Jeff Rittenbaum has been using Falco’s services for over 6 years and as his business has grown, so too has the necessity for extensive interstate and international travel. Falco has implemented the latest IT technologies which has enabled Jeff to remotely access important office data whilst travelling. OWA (Outlook Web Access) is a web-based version of Outlook which allows Jeff to access his emails, folders and calendar on any computer around the globe.

Remote Access Solutions
Falco also installed a VPN (Virtual Private Network) solution which has enabled more efficient operations not only for Rittco, but also for their multiple sub-contractors that look after warehousing, inventory and accounting. In the case of Rittco, their VPN allows multiple users to remotely access a single workstation over the internet. Access via the VPN is safe, secure and just as reliable as accessing the data from within the office. Falco has configured Rittco's VPN, with specific security policies which only allow authorised users to access certain applications or files. For example, the accountant’s access is restricted to MYOB only. Falco can tailor a VPN solution to cater to individual business's needs.

Falco also provides the following for Rittco Distributing:

• Design, supply, installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Server 2003 and Exchange 2007
• Application support - onsite or via email/phone support
• Supply, installation and servicing of employee workstations

Cover-More Travel Insurance

Cover-More is Australia’s largest travel insurance provider, turning over in excess of $250,000,000 p.a. and insuring over 1,000,000 Australian travellers each year. Their success in Australia led to an expansion overseas, with satellite offices now established in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

After continued growth at home and overseas, Cover-More decided to invest in a major network upgrade and chose Falco to provide them with consultancy and procurement services, including the design of their new network.

The Brief
After close consultation with Cover-More’s in-house IT department, Falco were requested to deliver the following:

• A network design for Cover-More’s North Sydney office, that ensures the continued functioning of their 24 hr Customer Care department in a variety of unanticipated situations (e.g. power failures, major environmental catastrophe)
• A network design that comprehensively maintains the integrity of Cover-More’s extensive data, most importantly their customer and claims information
• A network design that includes both onsite and offsite, backup and redundancy solutions
• The supply of all hardware and software necessary to implement the network design
